We have expertise in professional landscape design. Our designs are created by a Registered Landscape Architect. Our Landscape Architect personally meets and discusses the design with each customer, always allowing their thoughts to be part of the design. Designs are based upon the customer's plans for use of the landscaping and working around these goals. We strive to create a design that will give years of enjoyment for the customer.
Drainage
Water runoff and drainage are important issues when designing the landscaping. Our Registered Landscape Architect inspects the site to determine the soil base as well as the positive drainage of the site. Recommendations are made concerning drainage problems. Collins Landscape Services has provided solutions to drainage issues all over the Montgomery County area. Retaining walls, french drains and other positive drainage solutions are part of our expertise.
Decks, Arbors, Fences and Decorative Features
Collins Landscape Services can design, build and install landscaping features which will enhance the landscaping. Wood decks and arbors can create areas of entertaining while providing landscape backdrops. When designed properly, these features can give the customer an outdoor area for enjoyment and can be multi-functional. Fences, whether used for privacy or for aesthetics, can greatly improve the appearance of the landscaping and the home. Collins Landscape Services has been constructing quality wood, chain link and stone fences for many years.
Water Features
Designing of water falls, ponds and fountains around the theme of the landscape can add to the aesthetics of the entire landscape. The sound of running water over rock waterfalls is relaxing and will create a peaceful environment to enjoy. Pond features can be landscaped with aquatic plantings and stocked with fish. Fountains can serve as creative features for sound and seeing enjoyment, while also aerating the pond. Multi-level fountains create a water wonderland appearance. Landscape designs are developed with the geographic area in mind. Plants, trees and shrubs are recommended for the climate and area where they are to be planted. Our Landscape Architect is well-acquainted with plant materials and growing patterns of plants in the Southeast Texas area. Our designs are created to give plants room to grow and mature. Collins Landscape Services uses only quality planting materials from reputable growers in the area where the plants are to be installed. Trees and plants are installed with the recommended mulches and fertilizers for plant survival and to reduce plant stress.
Irrigation
An irrigation system is important to any landscaping project and is recommended. An irrigation system can provide the customer quick and easy ways to water the landscaping on a regular basis and insure that all areas are watered as recommended. Sprinkler systems also save water by directing the water to the plants on a timed basis. Collins Landscape Services can supply you with names of irrigation companies which will design and install the irrigation system prior to the installation of the landscaping. We will work closely with the customer's irrigation company to provide information on the landscaping plans and the watering needs.
